MES organized a Seminar "Global Metallurgy" on January 29, 2019 after its recent inauguration. Seminar specially arranged and targetted for FE Metallurgists. Global Metallurgy is a first step towards the FE guidance program of Metallurgical Engineer's Society. It was aimed to motivate and acknowledge young students. Career Opportunities held on 29 September 2015 : A detailed session on "Career Opportunities for Metallurgists" by Mr. Iftikhar Ahmed Channa in order to instigate and expand your personal awareness regarding metallurgical jobs and postgraduate studies to avail the best propitious occasion of your occupational preference regarding metallurgy.

Comet 2015: A competition conducted by the department's magazine team.Participants shall be given the relevant topics to present on. Winning entries will not only receive prize and certificates but further their article will also be published in METCRUX '15.

Global Metallurgy 3.0+ comet 14 12- held on Aug-2014:Global Metallurgy 3.0, a seminar especially arranged and targeted for all metallurgists.It is a first step towards motivation and acknowledgement of young students. The main theme of the event is the SCOPE, NEED, IMPORTANCE and APPLICATION of Metallurgy.

ARTICULATE 2010 : held on August 11th, 2010 A day for all the art lovers ~ Metallurgical Engineering Society MES of the Deptt. of Metallurgical Engineering organized an ALL PAKISTAN ARTS & CRAFT COMPETITION among all the arty, creative, inventive and brilliant brains of Pakistan. There were five different

Competitions METZCASSO (Painting, Sketching & Calligraphy), PORTRIX (Poster making ), FILMETZ (Short Film), Flash (Photography Competition) & LIVE METZCASSO (On the spot category.

Metznic 2010:held on May 22nd, 2010, Annual departmental picnic of Deptt. of Metallurgical Engineering organized under Metallurgical Engineering Society was a fun unbeaten. Gul Farm near Malir was the venue with all the facilities that a good farm could have. More than 90 students and 3 teachers Mr. Iftikhar Channa, Mr. Ali and Mr. Kashif Iqbal joined the METZnic '10 and had great fun.
